SIDEKVEST PRIVACY POLICY

SIDEKVEST is a real-world quest application. This release operates locally by default and does not require a SIDEKVEST backend.

DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

Account profile data, quest progress, proofs, approximate map cache, rewards ledger, reports, blocks, reputation events, and preferences are stored on your device. Authentication and preference values use platform-protected storage where applicable.

LOCATION

Map searches may use a selected or device location. Exact private quest locations are not exposed in cached public summaries; approximate coordinates are used where privacy requires it. This build does not upload location data in local mode.

OPTIONAL TELEMETRY

Usage analytics and crash diagnostics are off by default. If enabled, allow-listed usage events and sanitized crash details are stored locally. Analytics excludes account identifiers and location. You can disable either option and erase stored telemetry in Privacy & data settings.

SHARING AND RETENTION

Local mode does not transmit personal data to SIDEKVEST servers. Data remains until removed through app controls, app storage settings, or app deletion. Future network services will require an updated policy and appropriate consent before launch.

SAFETY

Do not include unnecessary personal information in quest descriptions or proof. Reports and blocks created in local mode remain on this device.
